Many people know Dubai as the city where the tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa lies, but what most people are not aware of is the city’s innovative infrastructure, respect for rules and government, and a strong focus on progressing.
In the last TripAdvisor’s annual ‘Travelers’ Choice Awards,’ Dubai again topped the list of the ‘Best of the Best’ list of destinations. This land was once nothing more than desert, but with time, their government has proved that anything is possible if there is will.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, posted a congratulatory tweet on X saying, ‘the first city to achieve this recognition for three consecutive years in a row.’
He further added, ‘Dubai’s consistent accomplishments in the tourism sector, once thought to be an unattainable dream decades ago, is now a tangible reality thanks to the visionary leadership of [His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai].’
Some other cities included in the list were: Bali, London, Hanoi, Rome, Paris, and Cancun. Dubai outranked all travel destinations that were once travel hubs. Although they are still in everyone’s books, but the wonders of Dubai and advancement attract people more despite being considered an expensive travel place.
D33, An Economic Agenda and Tourism in Dubai 
Dubai has consistently placed a high emphasis on tourism, a commitment echoed by its leadership and government.
In a recent note, Sheikh Hamdan outlined the tourism objectives outlined in D33, an economic initiative introduced by Sheikh Mohammed the previous year. The ambitious goal is to elevate Dubai to one of the top three global economic hubs and premier tourist destinations.
And so far, the city has achieved this goal, but the mission continues beyond here. In extending a heartfelt welcome to visitors worldwide, the Crown Prince expressed the city’s openness and hospitality.
Dubai’s distinction among global cities is well-founded. TripAdvisor aptly describes it as a place that seamlessly merges contemporary culture with rich history, offering a blend of adventure, world-renowned shopping, and top-notch entertainment.
